Malacañang Palace: Tells Filipinos to Stay Safe during Lenten Season


MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang Palace is hopes the nation a peaceful and reflective Holy Week but gives an advice against possible risks that will be facing by those civilians who travel during the Lenten season.

“As a new week approaches, we in the administration wish the Filipino people a peaceful and reflective Holy Week,” said presidential deputy spokesperson Abigail Valte in an interview on dzRB Radyo ng Bayan on Saturday, April 12th.

Presidential deputy spokesperson noted that the Holy Week is usually a time when Filipinos take advantage of the holiday to travel with their loved ones. As most of the Filipinos from Metropolis pack their luggage to travel to their provinces or in the popular beaches across the country, she advised caution to ensure safety.

“We encourage the public to take note of emergency hotlines present in the Official Gazette, as well as to familiarize themselves with Summary of Rights of Air Passengers also found in the Official Gazette website,” she added.
