The video game and consumer electronics retailer GameStop is prepping up for the forthcoming 2016 Black Friday sales with a slew of deals will offered to consumers. As a video game and related chain, most of the GameStop Black Friday 2016 deals will be offered are related to game console duopoly — the Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Microsoft Xbox One S.
To some who have yet to score one of these gaming systems, Black Friday is the best time of the year to acquire one. We all know that other competing retailers are cutting prices at flat $50 with some are bundling the respective console with a free gift card or additional game titles and extra controller. GameStop is also offering customers a $50 instant discount of each game console bundles for both platforms.
GameStop PlayStation 4 (PS4) Black Friday 2016 Deals
The Sony PlayStation 4 “Slim” edition with 500GB on-board storage configuration and bundled with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be up for grabs at just $249.99, a $50 less than the manufacturer suggested retail price of $299.99. The Sony PS4 Black Friday 2016 deal also comes with shoppers’ choice of either Ratchet & Clank or The Last of Us Remastered free video game titles. However, this PS4 deal is only valid on GameStop Black Friday 2016 sales event. The big box is offering a $20 price cut on the standard DualShock 4, marking down the regular price to only $39.99.
Meanwhile, the price of pre-owned standalone PS4 unit, which is regularly being offered for $299.88, will be reduced to just $224.99. This isn’t a good one as it should have been much cheaper than the figure considering the hardware aren’t brand new.
As for video game titles, the Sony PlayStation exclusive games including Dragon Quest Builders, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, and World of Final Fantasy will be up for sale at only $39.99 each. Their usual price tag is $59.99. The Ratchet & Clank and The Last of Us Remastered will also be offered on the big sales day for $9.99 each. There will also games priced at $29.99 (save $0), including Killing Floor 2.
The much awaited Sony PlayStation 4 Pro is out now on the market, but GameStop’s Black Friday 2016 deals won’t apply on this console as it is newly released.
XBox One S Black Friday 2016 Deals at GameStop
Meanwhile, GameStop will be also be having flat $50 worth off promotions on any new Xbox One S purchases. The Xbox One S bundled with Minecraft video game titles with 500GB storage option will be available for grabs at $249.99. While the 1TB Xbox One S with Gears of War 4 can be purchased for only $299.99, again, a $50 less than its usual tag price of $349.99. But if you’re getting the former console and you also want to grab the Gears of War 4 title, you can have the game for $34.99, a 25% off the retail price. The pre-owned standalone hardware is up at just $219.99 in contrast to its $288.99 regular price tag.
Additionally, GameStop will also have a discounts on Xbox Live Gold 3-month and 6-month subscription cards for $14.99 and $29.99, respectively.
The Nintendo 3DS with Super Mario video game title bundle will be available on Black Friday for only $99, a $50 off from usual pricing of $149.99. There is also a promotions on a pre-owned Wii at only $40.
