The Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks were two of the best professional American football franchises in the National Football League (NFL) a last season. Prior to this 2016 NFL regular season undertaken, both teams’ Week 13 matchup was considered as one of the highly anticipated showdown of the previous season and a rematch of an exciting playoff contest from a year ago. However, fast forward to present day, and the two squads are in pretty much different situation.
The Panthers are staggering at 4-7 losing streak, only still in playoff argument because a second-rate NFC South division. The Carolina are nearly out of the wild card race, as well. The Seattle Seahawks — on the other side of the field — aren’t perfect either, but at 7-3-1 winning streak, they’re doing much better atop the NFC West division.
Nevertheless, these two organizations will face off in the most anticipated matchup of the week in a national spotlight of NFL’s Sunday Night Football, with a kickoff time at 8:30 P.M. ET, which will be broadcast on NBC.
The Seattle Seahawks clinched three consecutive victories over the tough opponents — the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles — but fell to the hands of Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, 14-5. The Seattle really need to rebound back to the season.
The Panthers plummet this 2016 NFL regular season, but the team have the talented lineup on its roster to be competitive with any other teams. The Carolina lost two of their last three contests. The Seahawks is the toughest team still remaining on the Panthers schedule, though.
