The Atlanta Falcons (4-2) currently sits on the National Football League (NFL)’s top-ranked offense in total yards and scoring, will be facing the San Diego Chargers (2-4), third in scoring offense in the league. This should be a high-scoring matchup when the two franchises meet on Sunday.
The Atlanta Falcons thinks that they should’ve defeated the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday, but came move past a devastating 26-24 loss. The San Diego Chargers, on the other side of the ball, stunned the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos 21-13 in the Week 6 of the season to snap a two-game losing streak.
The Falcons return to their home to the friendly confines of the Georgia Dome after splitting a pretty tough two-game on the road. The team managed to defeat the Broncos in the Week 5 run of the season, but came up just short last weekend wit a 26-24 loss to the Seahawks. The Atlanta Falcons must now turn the ball to a re-energized Chargers team.
The great news for the Falcons is that they are 8-1 all-time against the Chargers, winning each of the last six contest dating way back to 1988. The Atlanta will largely depend on their red-hot offense team in campaign to bounce back on track from last Sunday’s defeat and maintain control of the NFC South divison.
The Chargers well-rejuvenated Chargers club must now attempt to carry that momentum east in search of their first road victory of the 2010 NFL regular season against a very good Atlanta roster. The Chargers has just one win in its last 12 road matchups. The team also have not won back-to-back games a couple of years ago.
