The reliable phone leaker @evleaks has allegedly “confirmed” pre-orders for the Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7. The Cupertino tech giant will start taking pre-orders of the newest flagship smartphone on September 9th, with a subsequent release date on September 16th. That being said, we should expect the technology titan to schedule the iPhone 7’s official launching for September 7th.

Evan Blass of @evleaks has a exceptional track record over the last few years. As for comparison, last year Apple launched the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on September 9th (Wednesday) with pre-orders starting on September 12th but the cellular device didn’t go on shelves until September 25th.

Moreover, Apple is also expected to ditch the standard 3.5-mm headphone jack from its forthcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. A new short video clip surfaced online to show the firm’s Lightning EarPods with remote in action for the first time.

Several weeks after the company released the current iPhone devices, the first major iPhone 7 leak hit the worldwide web back November and claimed that the company was gearing up to dump the 3.5-mm headphone port. Multiple sources claimed that Apple was supposedly going to ship updated EarPod headphones with Lightning connector out of the box for each iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Soon a rumor appear over the Internet in December that claimed Apple was going to introduce wireless EarPods along with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Now, a new short clip video revealed which claim to show Apple’s official EarPods with Lightning connector. As you can see in the video above, the headphones look somehow identical to Apple’s current EarPods that ship with the current generation of iPhones but have the firms’ proprietary Lightning connector. The user then proceeds to move on to demonstrate the EarPods’ remote control on the hands-on video; pressing pause/play and volume buttons, while showing the iPhone’s screen.

While the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to keep the same overall form factor and design, it will sports with much faster A10 processors and improved rear-facing camera sensors. With the the bigger one — the iPhone 7 Plus — suggested to feature in a dual-lens rear camera sensors.
