Heavy rains and floods, that caused cars to submerge and parking lots to pools and even lakes, slammed Long Island Wednesday. This is a historic storm which the two of Islip received an amount of 13 inches in just six hours.
Connecticut and Rhode Island were also deluged by heavy rains, which flooded major expressways, Wednesday morning.
According to report, numerous roads were shut down on Long Island, including parts of the Long Island Expressway, the Southern State Parkway, the Northern State Parkway, the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, the Sunrise Highway, route 110, the Sagtikos Parkway and the Jericho Turnpike.
