Abra, Philippines – The government officials of the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) have recently directed Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) of nutrition programs in the province.
The said program was led by the National Nutrition Council NNC), the evaluation delegates was welcomed by Provincial Health Officer who is also the Provincial Nutrition Action Officer (PNAO) Dr. Leona Berona along with Provincial Planning and Development Officer Jesusa Flier.
On the team’s third leg of monitoring and evaluation, the RNET assessed nutrition program implementation in the towns of Luba, Bucay and Penarrubia in the province of Abra.
The MELLPI designs to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of local governments in their part of planning and implementing local nutrition programs in the three municipalities. The program is being held annually and made possible by the NNC in partnership with the RNET.
The Abra squad is composed of representatives from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), National Economic and Development Authority , the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the Philippine Information Agency.
