Lingayen Pangasinan – The local government unit of Pangasinan will soon start installing the solar street lights at the Baywalk area as part of its project implementing an additional attraction to the historic and tourist destination at the Lingayen Beach in this town.
The provincial capitol of Pangasinan passed a resolution on Monday, May 2, which allows Governor Amado Espino, Jr. to enter into memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the San Roque Power Foundation Inc., Team Energy Foundation Inc. and Trademaster Resources Corporation to star the installation of the energy-efficient solar-powered street lights acroos the Lingayen Baywalk.
“The Lingayen baywalk is envisioned by the provincial government of Pangasinan as an additional attraction to the Lingayen beachfront where people from all walks of life could converge and relax,” declared Third District Provincial Board Member Generoso Tulagan Jr.
Government official Tulugan added that the Lingayen Baywalk could become a popular domestic tourist destination in the province and could also be a suitable place for the establishment of an alternative power source in the region.
The MOA will be signed by Governor Espino, President and Chief Executive Officer Ryukichi Kawaguchii of San Roque Power Foundation Inc., President and Chairman Federico Puno of Team Energy Foundation, Inc., and President Cris Giovanni Chiong of Trademaster Resources Corporation.
