The 2016 Super Bowl 50 TV commercial ad spots are all in! From Coca-Cola on a date nights to Doritos and Bud Light, Butterfinger chocolate candy bars and General Motors cars like Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC, the TV commercial ads set to be televised for the 2016 Super Bowl 50 are scheduled to kick off the big National Football League (NFL) championship game with a flock of famed actors and other celebrities.
Tony Case, executive editor of AdWeek, has said there are very few places that advertisers can go to get a lot of crowd in one shot and the NFL’s Super Bowl is the key to it.
“Last year the Super Bowl had a record 114 million viewers,” AdWeek’s Tony Case said. “That sort of opportunity simply doesn’t exist in this day and age.”
Steven Tyler of Aerosmith will be “walking this way” for Skittles candies, and website creator Squarespace hired comic duo Key and Peele. Meanwhile, actor Liam Neeson will be with LG Electronics. Soccer star Abby Wambach will grace the Mini Cooper’s Super Bowl Ad, while Christopher Walken will go in for KIA Optima. South Korean motor vehicle maker Hyundai will also join the craze with its Genesis car ad.
In the beverage category, Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen will appear in the Bud Light Super Bowl 50 ad as drinking buddies and comedic actor T.J. Miller will top-bill in an ad for Shock Top beer — a TV ad spot which he’s recently teased to be the “greatest Super Bowl commercial of all time.”
The 30-second television commercial ad spots on the 2016 Super Bowl 50 telecast are said to be going for as much as $5 million.
