So why are there more people searching for Walmart Black Friday deals, Wal-Mart Black Friday ads, Walmart Black Friday flyers, and other Wal-Mart related keywords? Have you ever wondered why? Is it because they have the best deals on the planet that money can buy? Or is it because they have more branches than any other store who are having a sale as well during Black Friday season? Or… is it because they have the highest discounts available? Like up to 90% OFF every Black Friday?
The truth is, they don’t give the most discount in all Black Friday participants in the past few years. In fact, they didn’t even reached top 10 of the most discounted stores in the US during Black Friday. In the 2016 average discount by retailers according to Wallethub.com, Macy’s ranked 1st with up to 63.4% discount during Black Friday sale! Followed by Stage and JCPenney with 62.8%, Harbor Freigh with 62.6%, Gordmans with 61.6%, Kohl’s with 58.1%, Shopko with 55.6%, Fred Meyer with 49.7%, and so on.
Wal-Mart only ranked 22nd in the average discounts with up to 32.6%. So why (according to Google Analytics) there are more people online searching for Wal-Mart Black Friday Sale, Deals, and Flyers? I know you know the answer. It’s because of their number of locations—As of October 31, 2016, Walmart has 11,593 stores and clubs in 28 countries, under a total of 63 banners—, and a wide array of choices to choose from. They also have a lot of deals compared to other stores, even though they don’t give that much discount, you have a lot of choices if you buy at Wal-Mart. And there are more Wal-Mart stores in the US compared to JCPenny, Macy’s, and other in the top 10.
Even though they are not the most profitable, according to Investopedia, people around the U.S. still loves Wal-Mart and prefer Walmart deals over Target, and other competitors.
